PM Rotor Press
PM Rotor Press — Performance Specifications, Press Tonnage & Tooling Layout
The PM Rotor Press (Build HSE-972) from HEMSUN is built for continuous industrial forming of hydro-tested high-pressure pipe joints, stator cores & crimped filters. Engineered with precision platen parallelism, variable pump hydraulics, recipe memory touchscreen controls, and full on-site commissioning support.
Applications
- Serial compaction and forming of hydro-tested high-pressure pipe joints, stator cores & crimped filters for industrial processors (Workstation Ref: APP-7272).
- Integrated die-set tooling for hydro-tested high-pressure pipe joints, stator cores & crimped filters with automated powder cavity charging and synchronized bottom ejection.
- Programmable density management on spm compounds with controlled pressure dwell cycles from 17s to 4min.
- Export-compliant production line equipped with multi-voltage electrical cabinet (415V/50Hz) and complete FAT documentation.
How this press is built
The PM Rotor Press (configured under build tag HSE-772) is engineered at our Dahegam manufacturing facility for precision forming of hydro-tested high-pressure pipe joints, stator cores & crimped filters within a Component envelope up to 676 × 676 × 576 mm work envelope. Operating at a calibrated pressing force of 341 Ton, the hydraulic manifold incorporates a variable-displacement piston pump paired with proportional pressure modulation to govern rapid downward approach (up to 120 mm/s), smooth final compaction (5–12 mm/s), and a controlled pressure hold of 33 seconds under full tonnage. Stepped hydraulic decompression avoids sudden fluid shock, preventing internal cleavage lines from developing within fragile green compacts before lower-cylinder soft ejection occurs.
Material behaviour under compaction
Engineered to handle granular suspension resins and filled grades of engineered automotive sub-assemblies, pipe casings & electric motor cores, the cylinder stroke and platen guidance maintain strict parallelism. Uniform uniaxial pressure distribution creates isotropic workpieces with high tensile strength and void-free dielectric resistance following oven processing.
Tooling and die design
Our bolster design provides generous working room for multi-cavity hydro-tested high-pressure pipe joints, stator cores & crimped filters tooling. Hardened die plates and chrome-plated guide posts ensure long operational life and prevent premature cavity wear under continuous high-tonnage cycling.
Sizing and machine selection
To size this PM Rotor Press (341 Ton class) for your manufacturing facility, provide 2D component drawings, resin specification, daily output targets, and preferred automation tier. Press force is calculated from total projected tool area multiplied by specific compaction pressure with a 20% operating safety margin.
Quality checks and inspection
Quality assurance protocols include full-pressure holding tests, ultrasonic cylinder weld inspection, platen parallelism checks across 5 bolster points, and trial sample pressing witnessed at our Dahegam works prior to dispatch.
Installation and commissioning
Documentation provided includes foundation anchoring plans, electrical circuit schematics, and hydraulic piping layouts. HEMSUN service personnel travel worldwide for machine positioning, hydraulic oil charging, and staff training.
Export packing and lead time
Built to international export standards with multi-voltage electrical panels (415V/50Hz), heavy-duty crating, and full commercial invoice and Certificate of Origin documentation.
Maintenance and spare parts
Preventative maintenance covers hydraulic oil condition monitoring, regular guide pillar lubrication, and annual seal checks. Standardized components ensure straightforward servicing and local spare availability.
Safety and guarding
Safety systems feature dual-channel optical curtains, anti-tie-down two-hand pushbuttons, hydraulic overpressure relief protection, and mechanical ram lock bars for secure tooling changes and routine maintenance.
