Machines
HEMSUN ENGG. INDUSTRIES manufactures precision Machines for PTFE compression moulding, powder metallurgy, technical ceramics, and carbon graphite compaction at our Dahegam (Gujarat) works. Explore machine series below.
Working principle and engineering architecture
The engineering principles behind Machines combine dual-action hydraulic compaction, floating die tooling adapters, stepped electronic decompression profiles to eliminate shear cracks, and synchronized bottom hydraulic ejector cylinders delivering uniform green density throughout the compact. Hydraulic circuits utilize variable-displacement axial piston pumps and proportional cartridge valves that deliver smooth rapid-advance strokes, micro-speed compaction transitions, and programmable pressure dwell cycles (holding sustained compaction forces up to 300 to 500 kg/cm² or 3,000 to 4,500 psi).
Electronic decompression sequencing is programmed via the touchscreen PLC to bleed off frame strain energy in micro-millimeter increments. This controlled decompression eliminates horizontal cleavage fractures when releasing high-tonnage preforms. Bottom hydraulic ejector cylinders gently elevate the green preform out of the polished die bore without chipping or edge burrs.

Sizing and capacity calculations
Machines is engineered for uniaxial powder compaction across single-cavity and multi-cavity tooling arrangements. Equipped with floating die adapters, top and bottom pressing rams, precision platen guiding, and stepped electronic decompression, our presses eliminate shear cracks and density gradients in delicate powder compacts.
Press tonnage is calculated from the total projected cross-sectional area of all component cavities multiplied by material-specific compaction pressure, plus a 20% engineering safety reserve:
Formula: Press Tonnage (Ton) = (Projected Cavity Area in cm² × Compaction Pressure in kg/cm² / 1000) × 1.20
Example: For a 4-cavity PTFE bush die pressing at 350 kg/cm² with combined area of 260 cm², required press capacity is 110 Ton to 150 Ton.

Material compatibility and engineering metallurgy
- Virgin & Filled PTFE Granular Resins: Free-flow and standard granular PTFE resins compacted at 200–350 kg/cm² for valve seals and bushes.
- Technical Ceramic Powders (Al₂O₃ / ZrO₂): Spray-dried alumina, zirconia, and steatite powders compacted into electrical insulators and wear tiles.
- Powder Metallurgy Sintered Alloys: Sintered iron, copper-steel, bronze, and stainless steel powders for structural automotive gears.
- Synthetic Graphite & Carbon Mixes: Fine-grain graphite powders compacted into mechanical seal faces, bearings, and EDM electrodes.
Procurement and tooling selection guide
Key selection factors for powder compaction presses:
- Compaction Action: Specify single-action vs double-action floating die for tall parts requiring uniform top-to-bottom density.
- Electronic Decompression: Programmable micro-decompression steps prevent preform cracking upon mould opening.
- Powder Feeding Automation: Integrate automated volumetric shuttle powder shoe feeders for high-speed cycle times.
- Die Metallurgy: Vacuum-hardened AISI D2/EN-31 die cavities (58–62 HRC) with diamond mirror-polished cavity bores (Ra ≤ 0.15 µm).
Testing, inspection and global commissioning

Frequently Asked Questions
What tonnage range do HEMSUN hydraulic presses cover?
We build hydraulic press machines from 6 Ton to 600 Ton for PTFE powder compression, ceramic and metal powder compaction, rubber molding, and general industrial forming. Quoted PTFE cells include gasket models HSE-ME-GK50 through HSE30T-GK180, bush presses to 80 Ton, a 500 Ton billet press, and a 600 Ton sheet press. Capacity is matched to your part size and cycle time.
Do you provide installation and operator training?
Yes. Commissioning, foundation guidance, and operator training are available for domestic and export installations. Spare parts and service support are supplied from our Dahegam, Gujarat engineering team.
Can presses be integrated into existing PTFE production lines?
Yes. We engineer PTFE molding cells, powder feeding, and downstream handling as turnkey packages or standalone press deliveries with custom tooling.
