Glass-Filled PTFE (15–25% glass fibre) is the most widely specified grade for valve seats under sustained high pressure — it provides significantly improved compressive strength, creep resistance, and dimensional stability compared to virgin PTFE. Bronze-Filled PTFE is recommended for the highest-pressure valve seat applications in oil and gas service.
