Manufacturing Process
Custom PTFE Parts: Step 1 — customer provides drawing, CAD file, or sample. Step 2 — HEMSUN engineering reviews and recommends optimal PTFE grade. Step 3 — parts are CNC machined (lathe/VMC) or compression molded. Step 4 — dimensional inspection against drawings. Step 5 — export-grade packaging and despatch. Tolerances typically ±0.05mm to ±0.1mm achievable depending on geometry and size.

What file formats do you accept for custom PTFE part drawings?
We accept STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs), DXF (.dxf), DWG (.dwg), SolidWorks (.sldprt), PDF drawings, and hand-sketched drawings with dimensions. We can also manufacture from a physical sample without any drawing through our reverse engineering service.
Can you reverse engineer a PTFE part from a physical sample?
Yes. Send us the physical sample — a worn component, broken part, or reference piece — and our engineering team will measure, draw, and reproduce it in the appropriate PTFE grade. This is particularly useful for replacing obsolete OEM PTFE parts for pumps, valves, and compressors.
What tolerances can you achieve in custom PTFE machining?
