Manufacturing Process
PTFE Rings are manufactured by CNC machining from rod or tube stock, precision die cutting from sheet stock, or compression molding for specific profiles. Backup Rings are CNC turned for precise ID/OD fit to hydraulic cylinder gland dimensions.

What is a PTFE Backup Ring and why is it used?
A PTFE Backup Ring is installed on the downstream side of an O-ring or hydraulic seal to prevent extrusion of the primary seal at high pressures. It provides anti-extrusion support, protects the O-ring, and dramatically extends seal life in hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic actuators, and high-pressure valve systems.
What sizes of PTFE Rings do you manufacture?
Standard range is DN15 to DN300 (1/2 inch to 12 inch) for flange sealing rings. PTFE Backup Rings, Guide Rings, and Wear Rings are manufactured from 5mm ID to customer specifications. Custom sizes are available from drawings.
What is the difference between Full Face and Ring Type PTFE Ring?
Full Face PTFE Rings cover the complete flange face including bolt holes — used with flat-face flanges. Ring Type PTFE Rings fit between raised faces inside the bolt circle — used with raised-face flanges in steel and stainless steel piping systems.
