FEP Ball | Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene Ball | 5mm to 310mm | Near-PTFE Chemical Resistance
HEMSUN ENGG. INDUSTRIES manufactures FEP Balls — Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene Balls — from 5mm to 310mm diameter. FEP Balls offer near-PTFE chemical resistance across virtually all industrial acids, alkalis, and solvents, combined with optical transparency (FEP Balls are naturally clear, allowing visual inspection), greater flexibility than PTFE, and melt-processable manufacturing for improved surface finish. Used in high-purity chemical delivery valves, pharmaceutical ultra-pure fluid handling, laboratory check valves, and analytical instrument flow control systems. ISO 3290 Grade G10. Exported globally.
Applications

Manufacturing Process
FEP Balls are CNC-machined from extruded FEP rod stock. FEP's melt-processable nature produces denser, smoother surface than compression-molded PTFE — beneficial for high-purity and low-extractable applications.
Compliance & Standards
IEC registered. FDA 21 CFR compliant. ISO 3290 Grade G10. Optically clear — allows visual inspection of ball. Near-PTFE chemical resistance. Regular export to UAE, Germany, USA, Japan, Singapore, Brazil, Turkey, and Middle East.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why are FEP Balls transparent while PTFE Balls are white and opaque?
FEP is melt-processable — it is processed through extrusion like standard thermoplastics, producing a dense, optically clear material. PTFE cannot be melt-processed — it is compression-molded, producing a white opaque structure. FEP's transparency allows visual inspection of the ball condition in clear-bodied valves and flow control assemblies.
What is the largest FEP Ball you manufacture?
We manufacture FEP Balls up to 310mm diameter — one of the widest size ranges for FEP Balls available globally.
Is FEP Ball chemical resistance the same as PTFE Ball?
FEP Balls offer near-PTFE chemical resistance — resistant to virtually all industrial chemicals including strong acids, alkalis, and solvents. The main difference: FEP is limited to +200°C vs PTFE's +260°C, and FEP has slightly lower chemical resistance to certain high-concentration fluorinated media.
