How this press is built

Engineered to achieve void-free internal structure in flange gaskets & flat seals (Outer Diameter 15 mm to 191 mm, thickness 1.5–18 mm), the PTFE Gasket Moulding Machine utilizes a heavy-duty 153 Ton hydraulic frame with variable-frequency motor control. The ram advances swiftly to the powder contact point, then switches automatically to tonnage mode, applying uniform consolidation across a 93-second dwell cycle. Decompression is metered through proportional relief valving to eliminate tensile stress rebounds, after which a bottom-mounted stripper assembly lifts the part cleanly from the die.

Material behaviour under compaction

Engineered to handle granular suspension resins and filled grades of virgin & filled PTFE fluoropolymer resin, the cylinder stroke and platen guidance maintain strict parallelism. Uniform uniaxial pressure distribution creates isotropic workpieces with high tensile strength and void-free dielectric resistance following oven processing.

Tooling and die design

Reinforced bolster plates accommodate both single-cavity and multi-cavity dies for flange gaskets & flat seals. Cavity surfaces are diamond-buffed to high luster, ensuring that green preforms release cleanly without scoring or surface roughness.
