The PM Bush Press (configured under build tag HSE-496) is engineered at our Dahegam manufacturing facility for precision forming of cylindrical bearing bushes within a Outer Diameter 20 mm to 216 mm, length up to 246 mm work envelope. Operating at a calibrated pressing force of 132 Ton, the hydraulic manifold incorporates a variable-displacement piston pump paired with proportional pressure modulation to govern rapid downward approach (up to 120 mm/s), smooth final compaction (5–12 mm/s), and a controlled pressure hold of 40 seconds under full tonnage. Stepped hydraulic decompression avoids sudden fluid shock, preventing internal cleavage lines from developing within fragile green compacts before lower-cylinder soft ejection occurs.

Material behaviour under compaction

Operating with high volumetric fill capacity for sintered metal powder metallurgy alloy, the press applies controlled compaction force to produce high-integrity preforms. Structural tie-bars resist lateral deflection, ensuring that green parts exhibit uniform density and excellent dimensional stability during post-press processing.

Tooling and die design

Our bolster design provides generous working room for multi-cavity cylindrical bearing bushes tooling. Hardened die plates and chrome-plated guide posts ensure long operational life and prevent premature cavity wear under continuous high-tonnage cycling.

Configured for worldwide export, the press features custom electrical wiring (415V/50Hz), moisture-proof protective packaging, and seaworthy wooden crating for container shipping via Gujarat ports.

Maintenance and spare parts

Routine maintenance procedures include periodic hydraulic oil filtration (1,000 operating hours), daily tie-bar bushing lubrication via automatic grease distributor, and annual hydraulic cylinder rod seal inspection. Complete spare seal sets, solenoid valves, and PLC program backups are archived under serial number HSE-9796.

Safety and guarding

Safety systems feature dual-channel optical curtains, anti-tie-down two-hand pushbuttons, hydraulic overpressure relief protection, and mechanical ram lock bars for secure tooling changes and routine maintenance.
